Growth and jobs in Europe

Published: Tuesday, 14th June 2016

Ditchley's most recent conference, “Growth and jobs in Europe: the way forward”, took place against the backdrop of the current British EU referendum campaign. This was not allowed to derail wider discussions, thanks to wise chairmanship, but could not altogether be ignored. Despite the recent upturn in economic prospects across the Eurozone, there remained a nagging pessimism throughout the conference about the outlook over the longer term.

Nevertheless those around the table identified a number of steps which they thought would improve the prospects for jobs and economic growth. These are included in the Director's Note, which is now available to read in full here.
