‘The post-Ukraine world order’: a thought-provoking 50th Lecture

Professor Michael Ignatieff was blessed by the weather gods on Saturday 12 July as he delivered the Ditchley Foundation’s 50th Annual Lecture to a packed marquee on a balmy summer’s day.

His thought-provoking address spoke of global pluralism and governance; how Europe and the US need to reform their own institutions to meet the challenge of the new authoritarianism; and how Russia’s annexation of Crimea has shattered the global order that took shape after 1989.
