New conference report: Fiscal policy and the imperative for growth
Sir John Holmes, Director of The Ditchley Foundation, has published his summary of the recent conference, held at Ditchley Park on 24 - 26 March 2011, which looked at “Fiscal policy and the imperative for growth”. Whilst there was general consensus around the table regarding the approach governments had taken to avoid serious economic depression, many felt that the outlook remained gloomy. However, some broad conclusions on ways forward did emerge and these are summarized in the attached Director’s Note.
